Independent Institute are running a Skills for All funded Certificate II in Agriculture AHC20110 workshop with a focus on horticulture.
- A full time program. Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm
- Nationally recognised qualification
- Students will conduct their theory sessions at the AgriFood Skill Centre in Salisbury and will be taken on field trips to the Adelaide Hills & Virginia, gaining valuable hands-on experience on functioning farms. We provide a mini bus service where the students will be transported to these locations and returned to 91 John Street Salisbury by 4pm
- Fee free* workshop that is funded through the SA Government’s Skills for All initiative, and is fee fee for eligible participants. *Check your eligibility on www.skills.sa.gov.au
- Tailored as a transition to employment with a focus on employability skills
This program will help students to become job-ready for roles in: Farming, wineries, gardens, orchards, grain growers, nurseries and many more! A summary of key units includes:
- AHCPCM201A Recognise plants & propagate seeds
- AHCINF302A Plan and construct an electric fence
- AHCIRG204A Lay irrigation and/or drainage pipes
- AHCPGD203A Prune shrubs & trees
- AHCPMG201A Treat weeds.. and more
